During the day your skin has to be protected and that’s the role of the day cream, while the night cream is going to repair your skin. Let’s discover the benefits of using every night in a good beauty routine.
Role of a night cream
The cell renewer is activated during the night and that’s the right moment to repair your skin from the day damages. It needs more than a moisturizer to :
- help regeneration,
- deeply moisturize.
At which age?
In fact a night cream can be used at any age: if your skin is acne-prone, in case of dry skin or oily skin, in the thirties when ageing signs are begining and obviously if your skin is mature.
The night cream has usually a richer texture than the day cream. Most part of cosmetic brands propose two textures : a light one for oily/normal skin and a rich one for dry skin.
The night cream hydrates ans nourishes but contains also different active ingredients to fight the different ageing signs :
- hyaluronic acids against wrinkles,
- antioxydant vitamin C,
- AhA for the brightness,
- retinol for a global action,
- but also collagen, vitamins E, A…
How to apply?
Every night on a cleaned face, dispense a small amount of cream on your fingerprints and then a dot on your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Massage the cream using upwards and outwards motions. Do not apply on the eye-lids. And most of all, do not forget your neck and your cleavage.
As you can notice, day and night creams have different functions but both are essential to your skin.
